Nail Art Tutorial: Jewelry-Inspired Manicure

Nail design by Zoe Pocock inspired by Sylca Designs Jewelry

Posh Beauty Blog is always on the lookout for new and exciting things to inspire you! With the holidays right around the corner, and holiday party season underway, we thought, why not get inspiration for your next manicure from your? A manicure that compliments a gorgeous cocktail ring, statement necklace or bracelet is a great way to pull your entire holiday look together.

When it comes to nail design, we turned to the best. We tapped Zoe Pocock, Owner and Director of Innovation for Rock Beauty London, for a jewelry-inspired manicure tutorial. Zoe is UKs foremost and most in-demand celebrity nail artist with an impressive client list that includes A-list celebs such as Angelina Jolie, Fergie and Adele.

The inspiration for this chic and edgy manicure is a gorgeous lead-free cocktail ring from Sylca Designs which is made from base metal (Sylcadesigns.com, $21). Sylca Designs is known for posh and eco-friendly jewelry and accessories that are art-deco and geometric with South American influences. The unique pieces are also super affordable; you’ll find something for every budget.

For this nail tutorial, Zoe uses Rock Beauty London’s Nail Rock Rockit in Vintage Silver ($16, Rock Beauty London and Urbanoutfitters.com). This Nail Rock Rockit includes the Nail Rock Wand with polish, velvet-powder finish and 3D charms.  Zoe provides the following steps to get the look:

Step 1:  Paint nails with two coats of nail polish provided

Step 2: Carefully sprinkle the velvet onto the nail and shake off excess

Step 3:  Allow 15-20 minutes for nails to dry

Step 4: Apply a small drop of the nail polish onto the velvet and while it is still wet carefully drop your chosen 3D applique onto the nail.

Step 5:  Repeat with each nail.

Step 6: Allow another 15-20 minutes to dry.

Step 7: You are ready to rock!
