Get the Best Out Of Your Makeup

Applying make-up is nearly an everyday step in grooming for most you ladies out there. And this it should be. However, simple seemingly tiny mistakes can mean the difference between looking simply stunning and looking like an accident. So we've listed some makeup tips, layer by layer, for all the beautiful ladies out there looking to get even prettier.

Concealer and Foundation

Let’s start where you would or should. Applying concealer to cover up the more prominent blemishes on your face is the way to go. However, these should never be applied on the eyelids. Reason being, it will cause your subsequent layers to the crease, which is not a good look. Additionally, if you’re looking for sheer coverage, use your fingers to apply foundation. Otherwise, use a brush for medium to full coverage. Oh yeah, you’re not doing makeup right if you don’t have an airbrush makeup kit.

Powder and Bronzer

No matter the occasion, a little powder is always good for your skin tone especially on the shinier parts of your face. Use a light dusting for the rest to even out the tone. Many ladies sometimes forget to touch on the neck and chest after using bronzer on the face. Remember, no matter how light the application on your face, the difference will definitely be discernable if you leave out your chest.

Blush

Use blush to make your cheekbones pop out. The best way to achieve a good, even finish is to apply lightly on the apple of the cheek, then swipe towards the temple and down along your jawline and side bands (or where the sidebands would be).

Eyeshadow and Eyeliner

Last on our list of makeup tips is where most go wrong. To prepare your eyelids for the best result, use a matte base shadow that is closest in resemblance to the lightest part of your face. This will give your subsequent layer a more natural look. Use your brow bone as a guide. When applying eyeliner it's very easy to make a mistake only to notice it later. It’s best practice to move closer to the mirror so as to avoid any near misses. It is advisable to tilt your head so that your chin is closer to the mirror than your forehead. Additionally, look down as you apply the eyeliner to get the best possible point of view.

Some of the layers, most of them really, require intricate detailing to achieve that special look. A lighted makeup mirror could come in handy to let you apply every bit of makeup perfectly.
