5 Ways to Dial Down Stress | Get Free Products from Sample Hub

It’s hard to keep the calm with so many everyday stressors bombarding us. That’s why I recommend taking a few minutes to focus in on YOU daily. Here are 5 things I do daily to keep my stress to a minimum: 

  1. Practice deep breathing or meditation: Taking a short break from stressful moments is one of the most important and powerful ways to de-stress. Sometimes, I stop and take a few minutes to do a quick breathing exercise when I’m overwhelmed and sometimes, I will set aside time for an in-depth guided meditation session using an app like Calm and other meditation products. Either way, it is always helpful! 

  2. Move my body: There has never been a time that I’ve made movement a priority and regretted it because it melts my tension and stress away.  I make sure to dance, walk, take an exercise class, go hiking or do yoga every single day. Exercise can help reduce the intensity of my stress, helps clear my head, and gives way to calm.  

  3. Treat myself to a home spa day:  I like to treat myself to a luxurious morning or night skincare treatment daily, but if you don’t have the time to do this every day, you can designate one day a week as home spa day. Give yourself a great facial, put those luxe body scrubs and moisturizers to use, paint your nails that color you’ve had your eye on for months, diffuse essential oils, play relaxing music and just take the time to focus on yourself. 

  4. Make time for my hobby: Whether it’s playing tennis, playing an instrument or painting, I am sure to take time to cultivate the things I am passionate about. I even do something as simple as reading a few chapters of a good book. Getting lost in the things I love definitely relieves my stress.  

  1. Write down the things I am grateful for: This has been a game changer for me. It is very easy to get caught up in focusing on the things that are going wrong or lack. But one way I shift out of stress mode and into gratitude and positivity is to take a few minutes to make a list of all the things that are bringing me joy. Nothing is too small.
